COMPLAINING TO GOD OVER KOSHER ICE CREAM 🍦

Maybe I'm being nostalgic.

I was told by a Fatalistic Jerk that everybody graduates someday. I was told by another Jerk that my Parents aren't going to live forever. Most have Bills and Debts to pay, but I refuse to believe in traditions of Mortal Men. Perhaps that's why I don't consider Paul's Epistles strictly Gospel anymore. "We all die once and then we're judged," wrote Paul. Who says that, but Jerks?

Online, I consciously look for advances in Cures for Diseases. That remedial introspection doesn't happen in a church. I've never seen anyone healed in a church and I've sat through many denominational church programs. It's not a judgment on the Church, but it does mean that this Generation is hobbled in some ways and comparable to the early days of Christ's ministry, when nobody knew Him.

If you know someone needs healing at the church you're attending, then prioritize their healing, whether the needy Person is in attendance or not, otherwise why bother going, if you're merely going to sit there and go through the motions of doing nothing. What a tragedy for needy People at a church to be ignored! I hated being ignored, the height of Ignorance and False Prophecy. I'd rather actively pray for someone's healing From A Distance, than have to suffer existential church boredom.

I taught my students at SUNY Purchase to inquire and lay hands on the needy. We did that almost every single time we gathered. Our Ministry wasn't restricted to an hour on Sunday. We broke Bread together daily at the local Diner or School Cafeteria. We sang spontaneous songs and played musical instruments for hours because we cared for one another. These days, if I want to listen to someone sing, I'll go to a Professional Concert or a Karaoke Bar. I'll search YouTube for an indepth lecture, instead of yawning through an Irrelevant Sermon. If I want to eat a decent Meal, I'll go to a Restaurant. Pay for Gas before I attend your church service, Lol!

Listening to a Pastor preach about irrelevant subjects is Idolatry. What is disturbing is that America is bereft of Pastors that know what they're talking about. The Prosperity Gospel is so trashy, I can't stand it. The Jerusalem Temple was destroyed because of Pastoral thieves. No wonder the Twin Towers were destroyed.

From afar, I consider the Church a Synagogue these days, which would require me to visit on a given Sunday, but healing isn't a communal sign anymore. Church has become Programmed Pageantry. As it is, I'm not that into convincing anyone of anything anymore. That's what Google is for, now: Self~Study. In hindsight, I did learn a lot at church, but issues weren't resolved there. It was more about socializing, if anything. Going to church didn't solve AIDS, for example. To have to wade through a half~hour long sermon followed by announcements, hymns, tithes, etc. when there are People with needs to be attended to seems like a waste of time. Just get to the healing all ready. That's what Jesus did in the Synagogue: Heal People.

"The Hangover Cure" and the band called "The Cure" are such a waste of Their time.

Being Jewish requires Innovation and Scholarship. Being Christian means Stagnancy. The Prophets and Apostles were imperfect, so their books aren't that inspired. Jesus, however, was Perfect. He is the Personified Bronze Torah Scroll the Jews unravel. He is the Personified Gideon's Bible collecting Dust. I still believe in Personified Perfection.

JEWISH VIRTUAL LIBRARY: there is room within Judaism for protest to be leveled at God when suffering is thought to be undeserved.
MARTIN SCHILLER: ,,,my Mother saw that I was rejecting the religion.
MARTIN SCHILLER: I have to remind you, once again, that, at that time, you were no longer looking at a youngster. At that time, you were ground into being an Old Man. There was no such thing as play,,, It was just a daily plan of survival and that can age you very fast.
FRED MALO JUNIOR: Christ was a socialist.
FRED MALO JUNIORIt’s also appropriate to capitalize the “H” in He or Him when referring to Christ or God. Even I know that, and I’m an atheist.

ANo. Faith is not the absolute requirement for Jesus healing people. Miracles were done by God to produce faith in God and His teachings.
II Kings 13:20-21

No one was asking for a miracle. No one was looking for a miracle. There was no faith involved by anyone in this situation, and yet faith came as a result of the situation.
Matthew 12:9-13
He wasn't looking to be healed, he had come to the synagogue for worship. He never asked for his arm to be restored. The leaders and Jesus were having a disagreement and then Jesus simply asks him to extend his hand.
Luke 7:11-16
No one asked Jesus to do anything. There was no requirement for faith. Nothing was offered to them to believe in until after the miracle occurred.
Acts 3:1-10
What faith did the lame man have? He didn't know who Peter and John were. He wasn't asking for healing, he was looking for money. Yet without asking and without faith, he was healed. A more accurate description is that faith came after he saw he was healed.
Sometimes the one being healed or the one asking for a healing was asked if he believed, but not always. But in each case the focus was on the fact that the healing came from God and it resulted in faith in God.

NEW APOSTOLIC CHURCH: Ever since Jesus brought His sacrifice it has also been possible for the dead to attain redemption. He Himself said: "The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live" (John 5:25).

JEWISH VIRTUAL LIBRARY: On November 27, 1947, the UN partition resolution passed with 33 votes in favor, 13 opposed and 10 abstentions. Liberia, Haiti and the Philippines voted for the resolution, while Cuba and Greece voted against.

PHYLLIS TRIBLE: Despite the instructions of God and Moses, the people refuse to continue the march in the wilderness until the diseased Miriam is restored (Num 12:15).

AKEMI TAMANAHA: On Friday (August 2) , the US Citizenship and Immigration Services announced it would terminate the Haitian Family Reunification Parole program and Filipino World War II Veterans Parole program based on an executive order from President Donald John Trump Senior.

PAULENE GONZALES: I have no idea what he is singing.... but its sounds really good :D

HAITIANHISTORY: On May 29,1939, at a time when many countries had adopted a "none is too many" policy in regards to Jewish immigration, Sténio Vincent, then president of Haiti, issued a special decree known as the "Décret-loi du 29 mai 1939, Octroyant la nationalité in absentia" [Legislative Decree of May 1939, Granting Citizenship in Absentia], conceding citizenship to Jewish refugees to Hait. While the impact of the decree was overall limited, many Jews were able to escape Europe, most notably Germany, and move to Haiti before relocating.
Though some Haitian historians remain puzzled about Vincent’s exact motives, the decree nevertheless represented a surprising gesture, especially considering Haiti’s historical disposition towards foreigners.
The Centre International de Documentation et d’Information Haïtienne, Caribéenne et Afro-canadienne [CIDIHCA] [located in Quebec, Canada] in collaboration with the City of Montreal, the Government of Canada and The Canada Council for the Arts celebrated little known facts about Haitian history and Jewish presence in Haiti in a 2014 exhibition entitled "L’un pour l’autre" [One for the other].

MARTHA STA. BARBARA: Subversive is quite the term for the range of meals offered in this restaurant. Filipino classics were given a twist. The meals have a Creole appeal in terms of the taste: buttery yet light, well- defined and flavorful.

WELCOME TO THE [ONLINE] SHRINE OF OUR FATHER, SAVIOR, AND SPIRIT OF CREATION.

MJL: At least two talmudic sources note that the righteous will be brought back from the dead wearing the clothing in which they were buried.

GAIL LABOVITZ: The concept of zechut avot, the merit of the ancestors, is well-entrenched in Jewish tradition. This concept claims that even when we are unworthy and rebellious, we have some merit with God because of our ancestors and their loyalty. Until very recent times, Jews prayed to “the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob,” echoing the way in which God self-identifies to Moses in Ex. 3:6, with no mention of the Matriarchs. All Jews today may call on the merit of their mothers and foremothers, be they Sarah Imenu, or our own individual mothers, living and dead.
KAREN GALATZ: The custom of adorning a Jewish headstone with a photograph is controversial, considered by observant Jews to smack of worshipping graven images, but I can only say that I am grateful my family’s pictures are there. It helped lead me to their tombs and it drove home their eternal connection to me.

CAROLINE SHINGLETON: Here we come to the all-important Vietnamese notion of “quê” or “quê hương” (homeland). For Vietnamese, your homeland, you see, is where your ancestors’ graves lie:
1. Important: Ring the Bell to summon Angel(s) or wake up God.
2. Step back, then step forward to enter Presence.
3. Make Offerings (For example: Food, Drink, Money, Incense).
4. Kneel, Nod, or Bow.
5. Pray in your Mind, Heart, and Soul.
6. End Transmission by stepping back and clapping (Isaiah 55:12).
On auspicious occasions, all who are thirsty pour Clean Water (preferably recent Thunderstorm Water) in a special container to honor our Ancestral Asherite Pantheon. Settings may vary.

Black Shelf Altar: Asherite Oil from Israel, Dad's Cologne Bottle, Envelope filled with Unused Stickers of Mom's Address, Mom's Credit Cards, Nehushtan Cup full of recent Thunderstorm Water from Hurricane Laura, Tiny Rocks found on the Driveway, Pepper and Salt, Photographs of Maternal Lolo, Maternal Lola, Dad, Mom, Sister, and I, Ten Commandments Booklet for Husbands and Wives, Glass Flower Container filled with White Rice and topped with Red String Bracelet, Necklace that says "Mommy"

BARBARA MEIKLEJOHN~FREE: Also place on your altar a picture frame that is empty to represent your unknown relatives.
WIKIPEDIA: A Libation is a ritual pouring of a liquid or grains such as Rice, as an offering to a Deity, Spirit, or in Memory of the Ancestral Dead.
WIKIPEDIA: Catholics believe that water from specific shrines, such as Lourdes, can bring healing.
"For centuries Christians had traveled to sacred shrines housing the body parts, or objects associated with the holy family. The faithful believed that these relics had the power to heal the body and the soul."

CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: The word relics comes from the Latin reliquiae (the counterpart of the Greek leipsana) which already before the propagation of Christianity was used in its modern sense, viz., of some object, notably part of the body or clothes, remaining as a memorial of a departed saint.

MITCH DAYAN: When you talk about being part of the Davidic lineage, the hidden message is that you are a messianic family. When you talk about a messianic family rather than a Davidic family, you are talking about the possibility of the Messiah coming from your loins. In the view of the classic Orthodox Jew, there are obligations. You have to be an observant Jew.
SUSAN ROTH: there are some great rebbes that say the mashiach is going to be King David [come back from the dead].
NADINE EPSTEIN: Male descendants of King David ruled Israel until the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem in 597 BCE, and Jews scattered. Some managed to stay in Palestine, others fled to Egypt, but the victorious Babylonians took most of the nesi’im—the princes of the Davidic line—to Babylon. There, the King David line continued: Princes of the House of David were appointed by religious leaders to govern the Jewish community. This person was called Rosh ha’gola, which translates as “head of the exile” or exilarch. Fraught with behind-the-scenes political infighting, the position survived the Arab conquest of Baghdad but came to an end when the last exilarch, Hezekiah, was imprisoned and tortured to death in 1040 CE.
Descendants of the exilarchs and other nesi’im fanned out across Mesopotamia, the Levant, Egypt and the Mediterranean basin in search of new lands in which to practice their faith. Some stayed in Spain, Portugal and Italy, and from there migrated to Europe. But through the centuries, plagued by perennial migrations and persecution, the vast majority of King David’s descendants, a number estimated to be in the millions, lost knowledge of the line…
Tradition has it that a messianic claim requires male-to-male Davidic lineage. Jesus’ followers claimed such a connection for him in the Book of Matthew, which calls Jesus, “Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the son of Abraham.”

JOSEPH FRAGER: Mearat Hamachpelah is the Gateway to Gan Eden.
YERACHMIEL TILLES: One of the classic halachic commentators, the Bach (Rabbi Joel Sirkes 1561-1640, in Yorah Deah, end of 217) strongly approved the practice of praying at one's ancestors' graves in times of difficulty, since their merit can intervene to help avert an unpleasant decree. Indeed, it is an almost universal Jewish custom to visit the graves of close relatives on the anniversary of their passing and to pray there.
The holiness of these gravesites is derived from the lingering connection of the soul to its point of final departure from the body after burial. This presence is especially strong on the tzadik's yahrzeit (anniversary of the passing).
GEOFFREY DENNIS: It is clear that ancient Israel venerated its dead (Deut. 10:15). The burial places of Judges and Rachel may have served as shrine/oracles (Judges 8:30-32, 10:1-15; 12:7-15; Sam. 10:2; Jer. 31:15).
JOSEPH JACOBS: clans and tribes were originally unified by a worship of ancestors

MJL: According to the Talmud, all bodies not already in Israel will be rolled through underground tunnels to the holy land.

WIKIPEDIA: In the Diaspora, it is traditional to bury the dead with the feet in the direction of Jerusalem.

ADMIN: From the beginning of Christianity until the 20th century, the vast amount of people who died were buried in graves that were essentially public ones.

"You are Adam in the Heart of the Desert,,,"
"You are Soiled in the Heart of the Desert,,,"
"You are Earthy in the Heart of the Desert,,,"
"You are Bloody in the Heart of the Desert,,,"

ETAN MELET: Unfortunately, in the last 20 years, the State of Israel has not maintained its heritage sites.

JEWISHENCYCLOPEDIA: The word "paradise" is probably of Persian origin.

PATTI WIGINGTON: Coffee: neutralizes harmful magic
Naftali Silberberg: The very body that died will be resurrected.
