MERCIFUL BEAUTY SALON 💆🏽

JORGE MARIO BERGOGLIO: each elderly person is your grandparent!

Tzvi Hersh Weinreb: Treating the elderly with genuine respect, truly listening to them and valuing their contributions, is an essential part of what it means to be a "holy people."

William H. Frey: For the first time, children of color now comprise more than half (53%) of the nation's total youth population, as well as in 21 states. If we want an America that continues to uphold its obligations to older generations, we need to value and invest in our diverse youth.

PETER BRIERLEY: many older people, and perhaps especially those in Care Homes, will have found the convenience of watching in their own rooms with a cup of tea preferable to travelling to church to sit on a hard seat.

CLIFFORD FABRO RIVERA: Steel Magnolias is on Demand.

Need to do this with all of Virginia Millano Evangelista Fabro~Rivera's Purses and Sewing Machines. Mercedes Millano Evangelista Fabro Rivera~Khan, isn't this cute?

CLIFFORD FABRO RIVERA: I'll be your Secretary. Okay?
VIRGINIA MILLANO EVANGELISTA FABRO~RIVERA: HERE.
CLIFFORD FABRO RIVERA: Anything else?
VIRGINIA MILLANO EVANGELISTA FABRO~RIVERA: Not right now. [beat] You need to go to Costco for Carrots. [beat] CHARGE IT.
CLIFFORD FABRO RIVERA: I did all ready. It's all ready charged.
VIRGINIA MILLANO EVANGELISTA FABRO~RIVERA: Okay.

BERNARDO M. VILLEGAS: Thanks to a generally pro-life culture in the Philippines (despite aggressive campaigns coming from abroad to impose birth control measures), there will always be enough young people to take care of the elderly in most of our families. It is highly unlikely that we will follow the widespread practice in developed countries of obliging many of their elderly to spend the rest of their lives in homes for the aged or retirement villages.
BERNARDO M. VILLEGAS: There will always be enough young people in a clan to take care of grandparents and great grandparents in their old age, without having to send them to retirement villages. This will guarantee the long-term happiness of the elderly whose greatest joy is to spend the rest of their lives with their grandchildren and great grandchildren.

CHAYA LESTER: Serach stands as a trusted, beloved sage of the people. She possessed an uncommon gift of healing through poetry and music.
Serach, with her ample emotional intelligence and creativity knew how to utilize song, rhyme & poetry for their subtle therapeutic properties.

MOSHE POLTER: It is said of the women from the tribe of Asher that an old Asherite woman was as strong and beautiful as a young girl from other tribes (Midrash Aggadah).
AMANDA BRADLEY: Serach is the master of the power of speech
Serach knows not just what to say, but how and when to say it.
With her wise understanding of speech, Serach is able to revive Jacob. As we are told in the book of Samuel, one can only connect to God through a state of happiness. Serach’s mastery of words reconnects Jacob with his son, his family, his soul, and his God.
As the keeper of the code words for redemption, Serach once again uses the power of speech to give people hope, and enable them to connect to God.
The line of “pihah patcha b’chochma” — “She opens her mouth in wisdom” is designated as Serach. She personifies wise and timely speech; — speech that heals and does not harm, speech that redeems and does not push away.
Serach shows us how much can be achieved, not just with the right words, but by using them in the right way and at the right time.

COCONUTS JAKARTA: Anggina Rafitri and Aysa Aurealya Maharani decided to test the claims of local traditional medicine by developing a treatment extracted from the native Bajakah tree. Two weeks after performing a study on a rat with cancerous tumors, the animal was cancer-free.

Christian Intention: Cut Nails in Memory of Jesus on the Cross. Dispose of Nails in Backyard to Honor Abel and the Prophets.
THE AISH RABBI: It is a mitzvah to cut one's fingernails on Friday in honor of Shabbat, and before Yom Tov.

JUDITH HAUPTMAN: when a woman marries and moves in with her husband's family, she needs to know that her obligations to the parents she left behind do not cease. In addition, the Mishnah implies that she acquires new obligations to her husband's parents. It is she who will be burdened with the responsibility of caring for them.
Daughters and daughters-in-law are expected to engage in the day-to-day caregiving.

Clifford Fabro Rivera: All we do is study because we have to stay at Home.

SIMPLY BY CHRISTINE

NELSONCLICK: Show folk are just different. I learned my lesson and that's why I no longer wish to be one. It's a better life to be in the audience than on the stage. Real love from real people who I really interact with instead of begging strangers for money, validation, acceptance, love and attention.

MARTYN ANDREWS: As demand for support grows, so does the need for high quality care. One option is to care for family members at home, but society hasn’t warmed to the idea of living with grandparents
In a society wrapped in guilt over how we treat our elderly relatives, maybe spending our twilight years in an exotic climate is the best way
these southeast Asian centers boast one-to-one 24-hour care and are all set in magnificent grounds resembling 4- or 5-star hotels.

LUMA SIMMS: The American version of elder culture and elder care has always felt foreign to me.
In Iraq and throughout the Middle East, there are a few retirement communities and nursing homes, but there is a heavy social stigma to using that route. Generally, families take care of their own, sometimes with the help of home care assistants;
Whether they live nearby, or in the same house, older immigrants from my Middle Eastern culture tend to be involved in child care, after-school pick up of grandchildren, cooking for the family, errand running, shopping, mentoring, marital support of the younger generation, and a host of other domestic services and familial needs. This is not some sort of Randian exchange of goods and services—this is what families do—they work together for a shared goal: the well-being of the entire family.

GEOFFREY DENNIS: Angels, or in a few cases demons, could be invoked to effect a recovery (Shabbat 67b; Sanhedrin 101a). Tractate Shabbat lists the names of the healing angels: Bazbaziah, Masmasiah, Kaskasiah, Sharlai, and Armarlai.

PANGIT PANGINOON
COSMO: Who would have “thunk” it. All that praising and preaching must keep Joel Osteen in great shape. Seen here on vacation with his family in Hawaii, where he is also scheduled to speak, the 48 year old televangelist appears to practice what he preaches. Not only does he preach, “how to live the best life” spiritually but also physically. On his blog www.joelosteen.com he gives tips and posts articles about eating healthy and promoting healthy eating habits to your children.
With an estimated net worth of $40 Million, he can actually afford to shop at Whole Foods!
WIKIPEDIA: It is customary to avoid talking on Shabbat about money, business matters, or secular things that one might discuss during the week.

1 John 4:1: Test the spirits.
This Saturday afternoon, I was confronted by an Unsolicited Salesman at the front door. My Family was in the middle of a late lunch. I had to be curt, but wished him luck.
Testing whether Sunset Friday to Sunset Saturday is the Sabbath or Sunday is. I'm finding it a challenge to keep the Sabbath on Saturday, much less remembering to observe it properly. On Saturdays, I just don't feel any kinship with "Neighbors" Driving, Buying, and Selling. Apart from Seventh Day Adventists and Diasporic Israelis, Saturdays are not Holy in the West, that's for sure. I've found Sundays more peaceful, but for obviously less hectic reasons, but even then I find it irksome that Buying and Selling still go on.
Guarding the Sabbath is a Levitical duty (Nehemiah 13:22). Perhaps, a majority of Humanity aren't meant to find rest in Rabbi Jesus. Perhaps, a majority of Humanity are merely Angelic.
The Sabbath is meant for Messiah to drive through Green Lights.

How to honor the Lord of the Sabbath by keeping the Sabbath Holy (Romans chapter fourteen verses five to six, New International Version: One man regards a certain day above the others, while someone else considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes a special day does so to the Lord;):
  • Do not toil outside (Exodus 16:27).
  • Stay indoors (Exodus 16:29).
  • Eat two days worth of food prepared the day before the Sabbath (Exodus 16:29).
  • Remember (Exodus 20:8).
  • Conserve energy by resting (Exodus 35:3).
  • Do not light a new fire (Exodus 35:3).
  • Be present at a Sacred Assembly (Leviticus 23:3).
  • Give offerings (Numbers 28:9-10; Nehemiah 10:33).
  • Refrain from Buying and Selling (Nehemiah 13:15-22).
  • Pick what pleases Him (Isaiah 56:4).
  • Limit traveling (Isaiah 58:13).
  • Refrain from new speech (Isaiah 58:13).
  • Refrain from self-gratification (Isaiah 58:13).
  • Worship Him by singing and bowing (Isaiah 66:23; Psalm 92).
  • Study (Matthew 12:9).
  • Feed others that are hungry (Matthew 12:1-8; Mark 2:23-28; Luke 6:1-5).
  • Heal others that need healing (Matthew 12:9-14; Mark 3:1-6; Luke 6:6-11; Luke 13:10-17; Luke 14:1-6; John 5:1-18; John 7:21-24).
  • Judge righteously (John 7:24).
  • Pray (Acts 16:13).

Longtime African~American Neighbor Robert Ellison reminiscing about Virginia Fabro Rivera: She loved to work. She was determined.
The Cane and the Coin
Jamaican~Indian Parable for Phoenix Micah Khan by Elvis Rhino
Elvis Rhino at the bottom of the Stairs: Here is a Coin I found, so that when you become rich you'll see a Cane and remember to care.
At the top floor, Phoenix Khan runs to his Piggy Bank.
Zach Gasior: In Chinese culture, the tortoise is a symbol of longevity, power, and tenacity.

JEWISHENCYCLOPEDIA: The word "paradise" is probably of Persian origin.

PATTI WIGINGTON: Coffee: neutralizes harmful magic
Naftali Silberberg: The very body that died will be resurrected.
